Raingarden Program
FRNNG is partnering with local nonprofit Metro Blooms to offer a discount rain garden program for Field, Regina and Northrop residents again in 2025!
Rain gardens store and absorb rainwater. The water is taken up by the long roots of native plants as it soaks into the earth. Rain gardens help to break down pollutants, clean the water, and provide habitat for pollinators and other wildlife. Learn more about the benefits here.
In 2025, four cost-share garden slots and two community-funded slots are available - apply below!
Program Fees:
Cost-share garden recipients pay a discounted rate of $500-$600 for their garden (about a $2000 value!).
Community-funded garden recipients (meeting income requirements) pay a $50 consultation fee with NO other costs.

Ready to take the plunge for clean water? Applications are due by 11:59 pm Central time on May 15.
Slots are awarded through a lottery. You’ll be notified later in May if you are awarded a slot.
